Follow our setup guide to connect HiBob to Fivetran.
Prerequisiteslink
To connect HiBob to Fivetran, you need a HiBob account with Administrator permissions.
Setup instructionslink
Create new service userlink
Log in to your HiBob account.
On the navigation menu, select Settings.
On the Settings navigation menu, go to Integrations > Automation.
Click Service Users.
Click New Service User.
Enter Service User Name and Display Name.
Click Save.
Make a note of the service user ID and token. You will need them to configure Fivetran.
Setting permissions for service userslink
To assign permissions to a service user, you can either:
- Create a new permission group and assign the service user to it
- Assign the service user to an existing permission group
Create a new permission grouplink
To create a new permission group, follow the instructions on the create a custom permissions group page.
NOTE: If you are creating a new permission group for service users, make sure to remove any default conditions such as Lifecycle status = Employed.
Add service user to existing permissions grouplink
On the navigation menu, select Settings.
On the Settings navigation menu, go to Accounts > Permissions groups.
Select the relevant group.
Select Group actions > Edit details.
Go to Select people by condition > Edit.
In the Add specific employees dropdown, select Service Users, and select the service user your created in Step 1.
Click Apply.
Click Apply on the Select people by condition pop-up window.
Finish Fivetran configuration link
- In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Enter the User ID that you crated in Step 1.
- Enter the Token that you crated in Step 1.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your HiBob data.
