The Fivetran OpenAI connector syncs data from the following OpenAI services and APIs:

OpenAI Platform: A developer platform for building applications with OpenAI models and APIs
OpenAI Compliance Platform: A platform that provides access to logs and metadata from ChatGPT Enterprise and Edu workspaces for governance and security workflows
Codex Enterprise Analytics API: An API that provides programmatic access to aggregated Codex usage and activity data for a ChatGPT workspace

The OpenAI connector does not sync data from personal ChatGPT accounts.

API key data scopes

Fivetran uses the API keys you provide during connection setup to access different scopes of OpenAI data. You only need to configure the API keys for the data that you want to sync. For example, to sync only organization-level OpenAI Platform data, provide only an OpenAI Platform Admin API key.

To sync Codex Enterprise Analytics API or workspace-level Compliance Platform data, provide a ChatGPT Admin key and a workspace ID. To sync organization-level Compliance Platform data, provide a ChatGPT Admin key and an organization ID.

We also use this key to sync organization-wide usage and cost data, including completions, embeddings, audio usage, and cost metrics.
OpenAI Platform project API key	OpenAI Platform project-level data	Data from the OpenAI Platform project associated with the API key, including files, vector stores, containers, fine-tuning jobs, batches, evaluations, chat completions, ChatKit threads, skills, videos, and audio voice consent records.
ChatGPT Admin key	ChatGPT workspace-level Codex analytics and Compliance Platform data, and organization-level Compliance Platform data	Codex analytics data, including usage, credits, code review activity, review comment priorities, reactions, replies, and engagement metrics. We also use this key to sync Compliance Platform data from the specified ChatGPT Enterprise or Edu workspace, including conversation message logs, audit logs, authentication logs, Codex logs, custom agent logs, app logs, GPTs, projects, skills, and workspace users. If you provide an organization ID, we also sync organization-level Compliance Platform data, including organization app logs, organization app authentication logs, and cost logs. This key does not provide access to OpenAI Platform Administration API data, including organization administration, usage, or cost data.
