What happens when I add a new account to an existing Facebook Ads connection?

Answer

You don't need to trigger a full re-sync after adding a new ad account. How Fivetran adds the account depends on your connection's sync mode.

To confirm your sync mode:

1. In Fivetran, go to your Facebook Ads connection page.
2. Select the Settings tab.
3. Check the Accounts sync mode.

Sync All Accounts

Fivetran automatically adds new ad accounts that the authorized user can access, typically during a subsequent sync. We then perform a historical sync for each new account.

Sync Specific Accounts

Fivetran syncs only the accounts you select. To add a new ad account:

1. Go to your connection's Settings tab.
2. Under Accounts, select the checkbox next to the account you want to add.
3. Click Save & Test.

You can also update the account selection through the Fivetran REST API. Once you add the account, we perform a historical sync for it.
