Error: The business_management Permission Isn't Granted

Issue

While running setup tests, the following error appears:

The business_management permission isn't granted. The following business details fields will be skipped: business, business_city, business_country_code, business_name, business_state, business_street, business_street2, business_zip, owner.

Environment

Connector: Facebook Ads

Resolution

To resolve this issue, do the following:

1. In Facebook, click on your profile picture in the top right.

2. Click Settings & privacy > Settings.

3. In the left menu, click Business integrations.

4. From the list of business integrations, locate Fivetran, then click View and edit.

5. In the pop-up menu, set the Manage your business toggle to ON.

6. Click Save.

7. In Fivetran, re-authorize your connector.

   i. Go to your Facebook Ads connector page.

   ii. Select the Setup tab.

   iii. Click Edit connection.

   iv. Click Re-Authorize Connection.

Alternatively, you can resolve this error by excluding business_* columns from the ACCOUNT_HISTORY table in your connector schema.

Cause

This issue occurs when you don't provide the Fivetran business integration with the Manage your business permission, but you have enabled the business_* columns of the ACCOUNT_HISTORY table in your connector's schema.
