Facebook Ads Are Missing Body Text

Issue

Some ads show body text in Facebook but appear blank in the destination, even after joining with the AD_ASSET_FEED_SPEC_BODY table.

Connector: Facebook Ads

Resolution

To resolve this this issue:

1. Ensure your connection is configured to sync metadata:

   i. In Fivetran, go to your Facebook Ads connection page.

   ii. Select the Setup tab.

   iii. Click Edit connection.

   iv. Set the Sync all metadata toggle to ON.

   v. Click Save & Test.

2. Re-sync the CREATIVE_HISTORY table:

   i. Select the Schema tab.

   ii. Look for the CREATIVE_HISTORY table and select Re-sync.

   iii. In the confirmation pop-up window, click Start re-sync.

   Re-syncing the CREATIVE_HISTORY table also re-syncs its child tables, including AD_ASSET_FEED_SPEC_BODY.

When the re-sync completes, the missing body text populates in your destination.

Cause

Before July 2025, Facebook Ads connections did not support syncing dynamic creative data, including body text. For more information, see our Facebook Ads release notes.

As a result, older records may show a blank body in the CREATIVE_HISTORY table until you re-sync it.
