Sigma Computing Setup Guide Lite

Follow our setup guide to connect Sigma Computing to Fivetran.

Prerequisites

To connect Sigma Computing to Fivetran, you need a Sigma Computing account.

Setup instructions

Create API credentials

Log in to your Sigma Computing account.
In the top right corner, click the user icon and select Administration.
Go to Developer Access and click Create New.
Choose Rest API as Access Credential Type and enter the Name, Description, and Owner.
Click Create.
Make a note of the Client ID and Client Secret. You will need them to configure Fivetran.

Find API Server

Your API server depends on your region and cloud platform.

If your platform is Google Cloud, then your API Server is GCP.
If your platform is Azure, then your API Server is Azure.
If your platform is AWS and region is United States, then your API Server is AWS US.
If your platform is AWS and region is Canada, then your API Server is AWS Canada.
If your platform is AWS and region is Europe, then your API Server is AWS Europe.
If your platform is AWS and region is Australia and APAC, then your API Server is AWS Aus.
If your platform is AWS and region is United Kingdom, then your API Server is AWS UK.

To find the cloud platform that hosts your organization, log in to the Administration portal and go to Administration > Account > General Settings > Site. You can find the your cloud platform in the Cloud field.

Finish Fivetran configuration

In the connection setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
Enter the Client ID and Client Secret you found in Step 1.
Select the API Server you found in Step 2.
(Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Sigma Computing data.
