Samsara Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect Samsara to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Samsara to Fivetran, you need a Samsara account.
Setup instructions
Create API token
Log in to your Samsara account.
On the navigation menu, click the Settings (gear) icon, and then click Apps.
Search for 'Fivetran', and then click Install Fivetran.
Review the tag access and select the user agreement checkbox.
Click Generate Token.
Make a note of the API token. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Select the region of your Samsara account. Options are:
- EU: Select this option if your account region is Europe.
- Non-EU: Select this option if your account region is not in Europe.
- Enter the Access Token you created in Step 1.
- (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Samsara data.
