Brightcove Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect Brightcove to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Brightcove to Fivetran, you need a Brightcove account with Adminsitrator role and API access.
NOTE: Contact Brightcove's support team for API access.
Setup instructions
Find account ID
- Log in to your Brightcove account.
- In the top right corner of the page, click your profile icon and make a note of your account ID. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Create client registration
- Go to the Admin module.
- Click API Authentication.
- On the API Authentication page, click + Add application.
- Enter a Name and Description for the client registration.
- Select one or more of your accounts for authorization.
- In the Exposed Brightcove APIs section, select the following checkboxes:
- Read checkbox under Analytics
- Video Read checkbox under CMS
- Click Save.
- Make a note of the Client ID and Client Secret. You will need them to configure Fivetran.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Enter the Account ID you found in Step 1.
- Enter the Client ID and Client secret you found in Step 2.
- (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Brightcove data.
