Atlassian Compass Setup Guide Lite Private Preview

Follow our setup guide to connect Atlassian Compass to Fivetran.

Prerequisites

To connect Atlassian Compass to Fivetran, you need an Atlassian Compass developer account.

Setup instructions

Create API Token

1. Log in to Atlassian Developer Console.
2. Click your profile icon in the top right corner and select Account Settings.
3. Go to the Product settings tab and note your Sub Domain.
4. Navigate to the Security tab and scroll to the API Token section.
5. Click Create and manage API tokens, then create an API Token with scopes.
   For a complete data sync, Fivetran requires the following scopes:

   • read:component:compass
   • read:event:compass
   • read:metric:compass
   • read:scorecard:compass
6. Finally, make a note of the API Token. You will need it to configure Fivetran.

Finish Fivetran configuration

1. In the connection setup form, enter your Destination schema name.
2. Enter the Sub Domain, Atlassian Mail Id and API Token you created in Step 1.

3. (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected for the connection. To assign a different agent, click Replace agent, select the agent you want to use, and click Use Agent.

4. Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Atlassian Compass data.
