Why is my initial sync taking a long time?

We primarily use Zendesk's incremental export API to paginate through your records. However, the API's endpoints have a rate limit of 10 requests per minute. As a result, historical syncs may take weeks to complete. See Zendesk's endpoint rate limits documentation for more information.
There are two ways you can potentially decrease your initial sync time:
- Increase your Zendesk plan's API rate limit. If you're on the Zendesk Suite Growth plan or above, you can increase the incremental exports API rate limit to 30 requests per minute by purchasing the high volume API add-on.
- Contact the support team to limit the time frame your initial sync should cover, thus reducing the number of records we sync.
