Issue
The following error appears:
Repo not found. Reconnect task: Grant the user permissions to repo <owner>/<repo>
The repository referenced in the error isn’t selected or visible in the connection details page.
Environment
Connector: GitHub
Resolution
To resolve this issue:
- In Fivetran, go to your GitHub connection page.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Click Edit connection.
- Click Save & Test.
This refreshes the connection's repository configuration and removes stale or inaccessible repository references. If the issue persists:
- Click Edit connection again.

- Click Save & Test.
Cause
This issue occurs when the connection retains a stale reference to a repository that is no longer accessible or no longer exists. This can happen when:
- The repository is renamed, deleted, or transferred.
- The authorizing user or app lost access to the repository.
- The repository was previously selected but is no longer returned by the GitHub API.
