Supported deployment models
We support the SaaS and Hybrid deployment models for the connector.
You must have an Enterprise or Business Critical plan to use the Hybrid Deployment model.
Setup guide
Follow our step-by-step Qualtrics setup guide to connect Qualtrics with your destination using Fivetran connectors.
Authentication
You can choose between the Standard (recommended) and Advanced authentication methods to connect your Qualtrics account to Fivetran. For more information, see Authentication method section
Schema information
This schema applies to all Qualtrics connections.
If you use XM Directory, we do not sync the Non-XM Directory Users tables shown in the ERD. If you don't use XM Directory, we do not sync the XM Directory Users and XM Directory Lite Users tables shown in the ERD.
User types and data scope
Qualtrics has the following user types:
- Non-XM Directory (also known as core-XM) - using the Contacts platform
- XM Directory - using the XM Directory platform
- XM Directory Lite - using the XM Directory platform
The data scope depends on the user type. We sync common tables for any user type. We only sync user type-specific tables - Non-XM Directory tables and XM Directory tables - for the relevant user types.
To learn more about Qualtrics user migration from the Research Contacts to the XM Directory platform, see Qualtrics' Research Core to XM Directory Migration Guide.

Limitations
The survey endpoint only provides the surveys accessible by the API token user and not necessarily all the surveys. Refer to Qualtrics Community's I am not able to see ALL the surveys thread for more details.
The Qualtrics API does not allow us to fetch the data of the
CONTACT_TRANSACTIONtable incrementally. We only sync contact transactions when the corresponding contact record is created or modified. As a result, you may observe missing records for theCONTACT_TRANSACTIONtable in your destination. If you want to keep the table up to date, you should perform a connection re-sync.
Qualtrics API usage
The default Qualtrics API usage limit of a connector is 2000 requests per minute. Qualtrics allows a maximum API usage of 3000 requests per minute at the brand level. You can use our REST API to configure the usage. For more information, read Qualtrics' documenatation on request limits.
Directory selection
You can configure your connection to sync data of all directories or a specific subset of directories to your destination. In the connection setup form, select the Directory Selection mode you want to use. You can opt to use one of the following options:
- If you want to sync data for the
DIRECTORYtable and its child tables for all the available directories in your Qualtrics account, select the All directories option. - If you want to sync data for the
DIRECTORYtable and its child tables only for a specific subset of directories, select the Selected directories option.
Switch directory selection
You can switch your directory selection mode in the connection setup form. To change the directory selection mode, do the following:
- In your connection dashboard, go to the Setup tab.
- Click Edit connection.
- In the connection setup form, change the Directory Selection.
- Click Save & Test.
When you change the mode, we automatically re-sync the historical data of any previously non-selected directory. This historical re-sync is MAR exempt.
