Can I sync data from channels in an external organization's workspace if I'm a guest or connected using a shared channel?

Answer

You can only sync data from a workspace you've authorized. Whether you can sync data from an external channel depends on how you access it:

Slack Connect shared channel

You can sync data from a Slack Connect shared channel if it exists in your authorized workspace and your workspace administrators and Slack Connect policies allow the Fivetran app to access it.

Guest or member in the external workspace

You can't sync data from channels that belong only to the external workspace. The external organization must authorize the connection within its workspace before we can sync that data.
