Gainsight Customer Success Setup Guide
Follow our setup guide to connect Gainsight Customer Success to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Gainsight Customer Success to Fivetran, you need an active Gainsight account.
Setup instructions
Find subdomain
Find your subdomain in your Gainsight URL. For example, if your URL is https://fivetran.gainsightcloud.com, then your subdomain is fivetran.
Generate access key
You can authenticate your Gainsight Customer Success connection using OAuth 2.0 or an API key. The steps in this section are only applicable to API key authentication.
Log in to your Gainsight account.
On the navigation menu, go to Administration > Integrations > Connectors 2.0.

Click Create Connection.

In the Connector drop-down menu, select Gainsight API.

Click Generate Access Key. Make a note of the access key. You will need it to configure Fivetran.

If you already have a connection access key, click Edit Connection. Make a note of the access key. You will need it to configure Fivetran.

Finish Fivetran configuration
In the connection setup form, enter your Destination schema name.
Enter the Sub-Domain you found.
Depending on the authentication method you want to use for the connection, do one of the following:
To use OAuth 2.0, go the OAuth 2.0 tab and click Authorize to authenticate with your Gainsight account. You will be redirected to the Gainsight Customer Success login page to authorize Fivetran’s access. Log in to your Gainsight Customer Success. Once you complete the authorization, you will be redirected back to Fivetran.
To use an API key, go to the API Key tab and enter the Access Key you generated.
(Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected for the connection. To assign a different agent, click Replace agent, select the agent you want to use, and click Use Agent.
Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Gainsight Customer Success data.
