Venminder Setup Guide Lite Private Preview

Follow our setup guide to connect Venminder to Fivetran.

Prerequisites

To connect Venminder to Fivetran, you need an active Venminder account with Admin or the API Key Manager role.

NOTE: Contact your Admin to grant you the API key manager role.

Log in to your Venminder account.
Select Admin Panel from the user menu in the header.
Click System Settings.
Scroll to the Manage API User section and click Add API User.
In the pop-up box, enter the API User Name, Description, Expiration Date, and API Permissions. Then, click Submit.
NOTE: We recommend selecting the Read permission to avoid HTTP 403 unauthorized errors.
Record the Client Secret generated in the pop-up box. Your client secret consists of the API Key and Secret.
Note: The Client Secret is not retrievable after closing the pop-up window. Please store it in a safe place.
Make a note of the API Key and Secret. You will need them to configure Fivetran.

In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
Enter the API Key and Secret you generated.
(Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice and then select the same agent for your destination.
Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Venminder data.
