SolarWinds Service Desk Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect SolarWinds Service Desk to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect SolarWinds Service Desk to Fivetran, you need a SolarWinds Service Desk account with Administrator permissions.
Setup instructions
Create token
- Log in to your SolarWinds Service Desk account.
- Go to Setup > Users & Groups > Users.
- On the User detail page, click Actions and select Generate JSON Web Token.
- Click Copy and make a note of the JSON Web Token. You will need this token to configure Fivetran.
Find domain
Find your domain in your SolarWinds service URL and make a note of it. For example, if the service URL is https://apieu.samanage.com
, then your domain is Europe
. You will need this to configure Fivetran.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Enter the Token you created.
- Enter the Domain you found.
- (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your SolarWinds Service Desk data.
