Salesforce Fields With Data Show null Values in the Destination
You may notice that some fields in your destination contain null values, even though they contain data in Salesforce. This typically indicates a permissions or sync history issue.
Why Salesforce fields may contain null values
This issue may occur for any of the following reasons:
- The authorizing user doesn't have access to the applicable field.
- The authorizing user only recently gained access to the field, resulting in
nullvalues from before access was granted. - The field was only recently included in your sync, resulting in
nullvalues from before it was included.
How to resolve null Salesforce field values
To resolve this issue, ensure the authorizing user has the permission required to access the applicable field and its data. See Salesforce's Permissions and Access Settings documentation for more information.
If you have only recently granted the authorizing user permission to access the field or included it in your sync, do the following:
- In Fivetran, go to your Salesforce connector page.
- Select the Schema tab.
- Locate and hover over the applicable table.
- On the right side of the screen, click Re-sync.
- In the confirmation popup window, click Start re-sync.
