Eventsforce Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect Eventsforce to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Eventsforce to Fivetran, you need:
- an Eventsforce account
- an activated API for your account
- a role assigned to the API user
NOTE: If a user does not exist, add a new user before assiging a role. For more information, see Eventsforce documentation.
Setup instructions
Find account name
Find your account name in your admin portal URL and make a note of it. For example, if your URL is www.eventsforce.net/XYZ/backend/login.html
, then your account name is XYZ
.
Generate API key
- Log in to your Eventsforce account.
- Click Settings > Security > Users.
- Select the user and click Edit.
- In the API key field, click Generate.
- Make a note of the API key. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Enter the Account name you found in Step 1.
- Enter the API key you found in Step 2.
- (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Eventsforce data.
