Cvent Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect Cvent to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Cvent to Fivetran, you need a Cvent account.
Setup instructions
Create application
Log in to your Cvent account.
Go to the Applications tab.
In the top right corner of the page, click Create application.
Enter the Application name.
In the Select scopes drop-down menu, select the
read
scopes for all the endpoints whose data you want to sync.NOTE: If the scopes for the data that you want to sync do not appear in the drop-down menu, contact your Cvent account's administrator. For more information about the scopes, see Cvent's documentation.
Click Save, and then go to the Applications page.
Make a note of the Client ID and Client secret. You will need them to configure Fivetran.
Find region
Find the region in which your Cvent account is hosted in the hostname of your Cvent API endpoint. The following table lists the regions corresponding to the hostnames:

Finish Fivetran configuration
- In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Enter the Client ID and Client secret you found in Step 1.
- In the Region drop-down menu, select the region you found in Step 2.
- (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Cvent data.
