Akamai Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect Akamai to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Akamai to Fivetran, you need an Akamai account with:
- API access
- Type name (database where the user profile is stored)
- Janrain Capture domain name
TIP: Contact Akamai Support for Janrain Capture domain name.
Setup instructions
Find hostname
Find your hostname in your Janrain URL and make a note of it. You will need it to configure Fivetran. For example, https://{registrationDomain}.janraincapture.com/

Get client credentials
Log in to your Akamai account.
In Akamai Console, select Manage Properties.
Select Credentials.
Make a note of your Client Id and Secret. You will need them to configure Fivetran.
NOTE: To execute API calls, enable direct read access permissions for the API client.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Enter the Hostname that you found.
- Enter your Type name.
NOTE: You can enter multiple type names as comma-separated values.
- Enter the Client ID and Client secret you found.
- (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Akamai data.
