Ortto Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect Ortto to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Ortto to Fivetran, you need an Ortto account.
Setup instructions
Create API key
Log in to your Ortto account.
On the navigation menu, go to More > Data sources.
Click New data source.
In the Popular tab, select the type of data source to integrate with Ortto.
Go to Custom API (advanced) > Get started.
Specify the API name and Merge strategy.
Clear the Create a new person checkbox if they do not already exist checkbox.
Click Create.
Make a note of the API key. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Click Done.
Finish Fivetran configuration
In the connector setup form, enter your chosen Destination schema name.
In the Base URL drop-down menu, select one of the following options depending on the region your Ortto API's service endpoint is hosted in:
- Default: Select this option if your service endpoint is hosted in any region other than Australia and Europe.
- Australia: Select this option if your service endpoint is hosted in Australia.
- Europe: Select this option if your service endpoint is hosted in Europe.
NOTE: You can find your service endpoint's region in the service endpoint URL. If the service endpoint URL is https://xxx.au.xxxxxx.com/, then the region is Australia. If the service endpoint URL is https://xxx.eu.xxxxxx.com/, then the region is Europe.
Enter the API Key you created in Step 1.
(Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Ortto data.
