SugarCRM Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect SugarCRM to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect SugarCRM to Fivetran, you need the following:
- A SugarCRM account
- Client ID and client secret
NOTE: Contact SugarCRM support team for your client ID and client secret. You need the client secret only if your SugarCRM account has a custom client ID.
Find subdomain
- Log in to your SugarCRM account.
- Find your subdomain in your SugarCRM URL and make a note of it. For example, if your URL is
https://fivetran.sugarcrm.com
, then your subdomain isfivetran.sugarcrm.com
.
Create Fivetran user
- Create a Fivetran user in SugarCRM.
- Make a note of the username and password of the Fivetran user. You will need them to configure Fivetran.
- Create a role with permissions to read data from the modules and fields you want to sync.
NOTE: Make sure you only assign read-only permissions to the role.
- Assign the Fivetran user to the new role.
Finish Fivetran configuration
In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
Enter the Subdomain you found.
Depending on your client ID type, do the following
- To use the default client ID, retain the default (
sugar
) value in the Client ID field and leave the Client secret field blank. - To use your custom client ID, enter the Client ID and Client secret you received from the SugarCRM team.
- To use the default client ID, retain the default (
Enter the Username and Password of the Fivetran user you created.
(Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your SugarCRM data.
