Table Doesn't Update All Shopify Metafields
After re-syncing the METAFIELD
table, you may notice that metafields for some resources aren't updated in your destination. This is expected behavior. Find out why this happens, and how to update the metafields for all resources.
Why aren't all metafield tables updated?
Re-syncing the METAFIELD
table only updates metafields for the SHOP
resource. The metafields data for other resources, such as CUSTOMER
, PRODUCT
, ORDER
, and COLLECTION
, are tied to their respective parent tables. To manualy update these metafields, you must re-sync the associated parent table. For example, to update the CUSTOMER
metafields, re-sync the CUSTOMER
table.
How to update the right metafields
To update the metafields for a specific resource, do the following:
- In Fivetran, go to your Shopify connection page.
- Select the Schema tab.
- Locate the relevant parent table.
- Click the Resync button next to that table.
- In the confirmation pop-up, click Start re-sync.
