Why Do MAR Spikes Occur for Composite Primary Key Tables?
Question
Why do MAR spikes occur for composite primary key tables?
Environment
Connector: NetSuite SuiteAnalytics
Answer
You might see a sudden increase in MAR usage for some tables with composite primary keys when using our NetSuite SuiteAnalytics connector. This behavior is due to the connector's sync strategy.
When we identify a record with a shared composite primary key as modified or needing a re-sync, we re-sync all the records sharing the same strong primary key value. The re-sync updates all the records' _fivetran_synced
timestamps and results in a one-time increase in MAR usage.
For more information, see our NetSuite SuiteAnalytics sync strategy documentation.
