Why are merged deals not marked as _fivetran_deleted = TRUE?

Resolution

When you merge two deals in HubSpot, you will see the primary record but not the merged secondary record, though HubSpot retains the data for both. We capture merges of the DEAL table and reflect them in the merged_deal table. See our HubSpot merges documentation for more information.

We maintain the secondary records and don't consider them deleted, allowing you to track your merges. As a result, we don't mark them as _fivetran_deleted = TRUE.
