Why Do I See an Increase in MAR?
Question
Why is the MAR high on my Google Ads connector's incremental syncs?
Environment
Connector: Google Ads
Answer
MAR usage in Google Ads connectors may increase due to the following reasons:
- Rollback syncs contribute to an increase in MAR usage. If the conversion window is set to a higher value, any records updated within this window and outside of the current month will increase MAR usage.
- Fivetran automatically triggers a full re-import if more than 90 days have passed since the last sync, as the sync service only supports queries for dates within the last 90 days. If for any reason, the last sync was more than 90 days ago, the re-import leads to an increase in MAR usage.
- When there are too many changes to return within the scope of the incremental sync, Fivetran uses a full re-import to sync metadata tables. We use a re-import only if all attempts to narrow down the date range and retry the request since the last sync are unsuccessful. These re-imports increase paid MAR usage.
