Error: Following Asynchronous Jobs Were Not Completed on Facebook's Side

Issue

Data isn't syncing to my destination on time, and the destination data isn't up-to-date. The following error appears in the Fivetran Platform Connector error logs:

external_service_error: Following asynchronous jobs were not completed on Facebook's side.

Environment

Connector: Facebook Ads

Resolution

When this issue occurs, we automatically attempt to fetch the same data again. You don't need to take any action. However, if the issue persists, or you want to discover why the jobs failed, contact Facebook's support team and provide the list of failed job IDs referenced in the error message.

Cause

This issue occurs when we attempt to fetch data from Facebook's API by submitting asynchronous jobs, but some jobs don't complete. This may happen when Facebook experiences latency issues natively.
