eBay Setup Guide Lite

Follow our setup guide to connect eBay to Fivetran.

Prerequisites

To connect eBay to Fivetran, you need an eBay developer account.

Your account type determines your environment.

Make a note of the environment. You will need it to configure Fivetran.

Log in to your eBay developer account.
In the top right corner, click your username and select Application Keysets.
Select the environment where you want to create credentials and click Create a keyset.
Make sure the Primary Contact details are correct and click Continue to Create Keys.
Make a note of the App ID and Cert ID. You will need them to configure Fivetran.

Click User Tokens under the App ID you found.
Go to the Get a Token from eBay via Your Application section.
Click + Add eBay Redirect URL.
Select the OAuth Enabled checkbox.
Enter https://fivetran.com/integrations/ebay/oauth2/return in the Your auth accepted URL field.
Select the OAuth authentication method.
Click Save.

In the Your eBay Sign-in Settings section, find Your branded eBay Sandbox Sign In (OAuth).
Click See all.
Find and make a note of the complete list of scopes. It is a list of URLs that is located after scope= and starts with https://. You need the full list to configure Fivetran.
NOTE: Copy all the displayed scopes to avoid the invalid_scope error.

In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
In the Environment drop-down menu, select the environment you found.
Enter the App ID and Cert ID you created.
Enter the Scopes you found.
Click Authorize to allow Fivetran to access your eBay account using OAuth. You will be redirected to your eBay account to authorize Fivetran's access.
IMPORTANT: We recommend logging in while in Incognito mode to ensure authorization of the correct account.
Log in to your eBay account. Once you have finished, you will be redirected back to Fivetran.
(Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your eBay data.
