Deputy Setup Guide Lite

Follow our setup guide to connect Deputy to Fivetran.

Prerequisites

To connect Deputy to Fivetran, you need a Deputy account.

Setup instructions

Find subdomain

Find your subdomain in your Deputy URL and make a note of it. For example, if your Deputy URL is https://fivetran.as.deputy.com/, then your subdomain is fivetran.as.

Create access token

Log in to your Deputy account.
Open a new tab in your browser and go to the following URL: https://<subdomain>.deputy.com/exec/devapp/oauth_clients
NOTE: In the URL, replace <subdomain> with the subdomain you found in Step 1.
Click New OAuth Client.
Enter a Name for your OAuth client.
Enter your Redirect Uri. For example, https://www.fivetran.com.
In the Save This OAuth Client drop-down menu, select Save and Next.
Click Get An Access Token.
Make a note of the access token. You will need it to configure Fivetran.

Finish Fivetran configuration

In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
Enter the Subdomain you found in Step 1.
Enter the Access Token you created in Step 2.
(Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Deputy data.
