Odoo Setup Guide Lite Private Preview
Follow our setup guide to connect Odoo to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Odoo to Fivetran, you need a Odoo account.
Note: If you face any difficulties in finding your client ID or sub domain, please reach out to Odoo Support Team.
Setup instructions
Find your subdomain
Identify your subdomain name in your Odoo URL and make a note of it. For instance, if your Odoo URL is https://fivetran.odoo.com/my/home
, the subdomain name would be fivetran.odoo.com
.
Register application to generate Consumer Key and Consumer Secret
- Login to Odoo administrator account.
- Go to Settings, then navigate to Users.
- Click on the user you want to use for REST API access.
- Click the OAuth applications button.
- Register an Application you want to interact with your Odoo instance.
- Enter
https://fivetran.com/integrations/odoo/oauth2/return
in the Redirect URI field. - Click on Save button to generate Consumer Key and Secret.
- Make a note of the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret. You will need them to configure Fivetran.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Enter the Subdomain you found in Step 1.
- Enter the Consumer key and Consumer secret you found in Step 2.
- Click Authorize to allow Fivetran access to your Odoo account using OAuth. Log in to your Odoo account. Once logged in, you are redirected back to Fivetran.
IMPORTANT: We recommend logging in while in Incognito mode to ensure authorization of the correct account.
- (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Odoo data.
