Why are there discrepancies between the impressions data in LinkedIn and my destination?

Answer

We use the LinkedIn API's organizationalEntityShareStatistics endpoint to get impressions data. However, this endpoint only returns organic impressions data. Therefore, you may observe discrepancies between the impressions data in LinkedIn and your destination for sponsored activity.

LinkedIn provides sponsored activity data through the Ad Analytics API, which we use to get data for LinkedIn Ad Analytics connectors. For more information, see LinkedIn's Ad Analytics Reporting documentation.
