Drata Setup Guide Lite
Follow our setup guide to connect Drata to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Drata to Fivetran, you need a Drata account.
Setup instructions
Create API key
Log in to your Drata account.
In the bottom left corner of the page, click your account name and then select API Keys.
Click Create API Key.
In the Details section, enter a Name for the API key.
In the Expiration drop-down menu, select Never Expires.
Under Scopes, in the Access drop-down menu, select All read.
Click Save and then make a note of the API key. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Determine API server region
See Drata's API documentation and send test API requests to determine the API server region for the integration with Fivetran.
Drata supports two API server regions:
- Default -
https://public-api.drata.com/
- EU region -
https://public-api.eu.drata.com/
For the integration with Fivetran, use the API server region that returns a 200 response (success) to your test API requests.
Finish Fivetran configuration
In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
Enter the API key you created in Step 1.
Select the API server region you determined in Step 2. Options are:
- Default
- EU region
(Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Drata data.
