Error: Connect Timed Out

Issue

The following error appears in the setup form while applying the OAuth authentication type.

java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Connect timed out

Environment

Connector: Jira

Resolution

To resolve this issue, do the following:

1. Safelist the IP range 34.85.252.27/32 in your firewall.
2. In Fivetran, go to the connector dashboard.
3. Go to the Setup tab, and click Edit connection details.
4. Click Re-Authorize Connection.

Cause

This issue occurs when your firewall blocks the IP address we use to send requests to OAuth endpoints. The IP address we use differs from the IP address we use for the Basic authentication type.
