Campaigns Are Missing From the Destination
Issue
The data from campaigns I can access in Google Ads is missing in my destination.
Environment
Connector: Google Ads
Resolution
To resolve this issue, check your missing campaign's type, and then see the applicable section below.
Discovery and Demand Gen campaigns
We introduced support for Discovery campaigns in January 2024. See our Google Ads changelog for more information.
We use Google Ads API's campaign.advertising_channel_type
field to determine the campaign type. The Google Ads API returns campaign data for both Discovery and Demand Gen campaigns with the campaign type DISCOVERY
. Therefore, you can find Discovery and Demand Gen campaigns in your destination by locating rows with campaign.advertising_channel_type = DISCOVERY
.
To sync historical data for your Discovery and Demand Gen campaigns, trigger a historical re-sync of the applicable table.
NOTE: Demand Gen campaigns with product feeds are not supported by the Google Ads API. Learn more in Google Support's Will Demand Gen channel type be available through API when it replaces Discovery? thread.
Performance Max campaigns
To sync Performance Max campaigns, you must apply a specific configuration while creating your Google Ads connector report. See How Can I Sync Performance Max Campaigns? for more information.
Campaign types supported by Google Ads API
To find out which campaign types Google Ads' API supports, see Google's Advertising Channel Type API documentation.
To find out which campaign types we support, see our Google Ads Campaigns documentation. If we don't support a campaign type that is available through the Google Ads API, you can submit a feature request.
