Vimeo Setup Guide Lite

Follow our setup guide to connect Vimeo to Fivetran.

Prerequisites

To connect Vimeo to Fivetran, you need a Vimeo account.

Log in to your Vimeo account.
In the top-right of the homepage, click on your profile icon and select your username.
Find your User ID in your Vimeo URL and make a note of it. For example, if your Vimeo URL is https://vimeo.com/user210911234, then your user ID is 210911234.

Go to the My Apps page.
Click Create an app.
In the App name field, enter a name for your app.
In the App description field, enter a description for your app.
Select the access permission you want for your app.
Select the checkbox corresponding to "I agree that my application does not violate the Vimeo API License Agreement or the Vimeo Terms of Service".
Click Create App.
In the Your callback URLs section, click Add URL + and add https://fivetran.com/integrations/vimeo/oauth2/return as the callback URL.
Make a note of the client ID and client secret. You will need them to configure Fivetran.

In the connector setup form, enter your Destination schema name.
Enter the User ID you found.
Enter the Client ID and Client secret you created.
In the Rate limit plan drop-down menu, select your Vimeo pricing plan.
(Optional) In the Historical Sync Time Frame drop-down menu, select the range of historical data you want to include in your initial sync.
(Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.
Click Authorize to allow Fivetran to access your Vimeo account using OAuth. You will be redirected to your Vimeo account to authorize Fivetran's access.
Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Vimeo data.
