Pigment Setup Guide Lite

Follow our setup guide to connect Pigment to Fivetran.

Prerequisites

To connect Pigment account to Fivetran, you need a Pigment account with Workspace admin access.

Setup instructions

Generate API key

1. Log in to your Pigment account.

2. Click Workplace Settings > API Keys.

3. Click + Create API key.

4. Enter Name and Expiration date for your API key.

5. Select Export as the Key type.

6. Click Generate.

7. Make a note of the API key. You will need it to configure Fivetran.

Find view ID

Find your view ID in your Pigment URL and make a note of it. For example, if your URL is https://pigment.app/application/1234/tables/abcd?displayMode=Grid&viewId=abcd1234, then your view ID is abcd1234.

Find list, metric, and table IDs

1. On the navigation menu, click ALL Blocks.
2. Select the list, metric, or table for which you want to retrieve data.
3. Find the list ID, or metric ID, or table ID in your Pigment URL and make a note of it. You will need them to configure Fivetran. For example,
   • If your Pigment URL is https://pigment.app/w/{workspace-id}/application/{application-id}/list/{abcd1234}, then your list ID is abcd1234.
   • If your Pigment URL is https://pigment.app/w/{workspace-id}/application/{application-id}/list/metric/{axyz1441}, then your metric ID is axyz1441.
   • If your Pigment URL is https://pigment.app/w/{workspace-id}/application/{application-id}/list/table/{bfvx2468}, then your table ID is bfvx2468.

Finish Fivetran configuration

1. In the connection setup form, enter your Destination schema name.

2. Enter the API key you generated.

3. Enter the View ID you found.

   You can enter multiple view IDs as comma-separated values. However, you cannot change the view IDs after you set up the connection.

4. (Optional) Set the List ID, Metric ID, or Table ID toggles to ON and enter the details you found in the corresponding fields .

5. (Hybrid Deployment only) If your destination is configured for Hybrid Deployment, the Hybrid Deployment Agent associated with your destination is pre-selected in the Select an existing agent drop-down menu. To use a different agent, select the agent of your choice, and then select the same agent for your destination.

6. Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Pigment data.
