Follow our setup guide to connect Rippling to Fivetran.

To connect Rippling to Fivetran, you need a Rippling account with Administrator permissions and API access.

Setup instructionslink

Create API keylink

1. Log in to your Rippling account.

2. Go to Settings > Company Settings.

   

3. Go to the API Access tab and then click Create API key.

   

4. Enable the scopes listed in the following table:

   Parent Scope	Scopes
   Company	Read Company Custom Fields, Read Company Departments, Read Company Employment Types, Read Company Leave Requests, Read Company Leave Types, Read Company Levels, Read Company Teams, and Read Company Titles.
   Employee	Read Employee Custom Fields, Read Employee Department, Read Employee Employment type, Read Employee First name, last name, Read Employee Job Family, Read Employee Job Title, Read Employee Leave balances, Read Employee Level, Read Employee Manager, Read Employee Number, Read Employee Pay Schedule Id, Read Employee Preferred First Name, Read Employee Preferred Last Name, Read Employee Status, Read Employee Teams, Read Employee Termination Date, Read Employee Work email, Read Employee Work Schedule, Read Identified gender, Read Legal gender, Read User ID, and Read whether employee is a manager.
   Time_and_attendance	Read Time & Attendance data.

   

5. Click Save.

6. Make a note of the API Key. You will need it to configure Fivetran.

Finish Fivetran configuration link

1. In the connector setup form, enter your Destination schema name.

2. Enter the API key you created in Step 1.

3. Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Rippling data.
