Bubble Setup Guide Lite Sunset
Follow our setup guide to connect Bubble to Fivetran.
Prerequisites
To connect Bubble to Fivetran, you need:
- a Bubble account
- Data API enabled
TIP: For Data API access, contact Bubble's support team.
Setup instructions
Generate API token
- Log in to your Bubble account.
- Go to Settings > API.
- Select the This app exposes a Data API checkbox.
- Click Generate a new API token.
- Make a note of the generated API token. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Find app name or domain name
Bubble uses your application name or the registered domain name to generate a unique URL of your application.
- In your Bubble account, go to Settings > API.
- Find the Root API URL and make a note of the app name or domain name. For example, if the API URL is
https://appname.bubbleapps.io
, then your application name isappname
. If the URL ishttps://yourdomain.com/api/1.1/obj/typename
, then your registered domain isyourdomain
. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Find typename
- In the Bubble editor, open your application and go to the Data tab. You'll see a list of data types that you've created for your application.
- Select the data type for which you want to find the typename.
- Make a note of the typename. For example, if the data type name is
Rental Unit
, the typename isrentalunit
. You will need it to configure Fivetran.
Finish Fivetran configuration
- In the connector setup form, enter the Destination schema name of your choice.
- Enter the API token that you generated.
- Enter the App name / Domain name you found.
TIP: Enter your domain name without the .com extension.
- Enter the Type name you found.
NOTE: You can enter multiple type names as comma-separated values.
- In the Subdomain drop-down menu, select App name or Domain name.
- Click Save & Test. Fivetran will take it from here and sync your Bubble data.
