Why Do I Have Discrepancies in Reports and Tables?
Question
Why do I have discrepancies in reports of different types and different tables?
Environment
Connector: Google Ads
Answer
We've answered the most common questions about data discrepancy in our Google Ads connector.
Why are some cost and impression counts in my Google Ads connector schema different from what they are in my Google Dashboard?
In some cases, including segments in your reports can increase or decrease values for cost and impressions in your data. Furthermore, make sure that you do not compare data between reports of different types for the same reasons. It is needed to be sure that your report contains same fields as in your Google Dashboard to compare them.
Why do I have discrepancies between the same reports in the AdWords API and the Google Ads API or between the same reports with a different field set in the Google Ads API?
Check the segments in your connectors. When any segment is added to a query, the query only fetches the data rows that have segmentation. Any row that is not associated with a segment is excluded from the response. In this case, the metrics values are lower because any non-segment metrics are excluded from the response.
