Error: TypeCastError On Enum Field Type

Issue

When syncing to an Asana enum field, the sync fails with the following error:

TypeCastError: Empty input (after ) at line 1, column 1 [parse.c:1259] in '...

Environment

Activations destination: Asana

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

1. Use the Asana Get a workspace's custom fields API endpoint to retrieve the gid values for your custom enum fields.
2. Identify the applicable value and use its gid instead of its text name. For example:
   • Incorrect: New
   • Correct: 1216568319166467
3. Update your source table to include a column with the valid gid.
4. In Data Configuration, map the new gid column in your source data to the enum field in Asana.
5. Click Update, then select Run Now to run the sync again.

Cause

This issue occurs because the Asana API requires an enum option's gid as the identifier, not the drop-down menu text name.
