Why Are NetSuite Destination Objects Missing From the Sync Configuration?
Question
When I configure a sync to my NetSuite destination, why is the object I want to sync to missing from the Object drop-down menu?
Environment
Destination: NetSuite
Answer
The Object drop-down menu includes the NetSuite objects that Fivetran supports directly. For more information, see Supported Objects. If the object you need is missing, contact our support team to request support for it.
Sync to an unsupported object
To sync to an object we don't support, you can use our HTTP Request option:
- In Fivetran, go to Activations and select the Activation Syncs tab.
- Select + New Activation Sync, then select your NetSuite destination.
- In the Object drop-down menu, select Other > HTTP Request.
- Under Specify a request endpoint, enter the endpoint of the object you want to sync to. For example:
/v1/users/{{ record['id'] }} - Under Choose a request method, select the type of HTTP request you want to perform.
- Under Choose payload type, select the type of payload that the HTTP request will contain.
- Under Choose how to customize the JSON payload, specify the payload to send to the destination and define it under Define the payload. For a request body example, see the NetSuite Update a Contact documentation.
- Under Add custom headers, add any HTTP headers to include on each request for the sync.
- Click Run a Test Sync.
If the request fails, check Show API Inspector for the error returned by NetSuite.
