Error: F_JT0400: Log Scanning Error F_JZ2518
Issue
A Capture job fails with the following error after upgrading or failing over to an Ingres 12 server:
F_JT0400: Log scanning error F_JZ2518. Version of Ingres CNF file is unsupported.
Environment
- HVR version 6.2.5_10 and above
- Log-based replication (HVR Hub, Ingres DB)
- Source: Ingres 12.0 (previously Ingres 11.2 in DR)
Resolution
To resolve this issue, upgrade your HVR components:
- Upgrade your HVR components (Hub and agents) to the latest available version that supports Ingres 12.0. For supported versions and features, see HVR Capabilities for Ingres.
- If you encounter the error during a DR switch or after a database upgrade, ensure all related HVR components are upgraded on all nodes and servers.
- After upgrading, restart your Capture jobs in HVR and confirm that logs are processed without CNF version errors.
- If the issue persists, contact your DBA to verify CNF file generation and compatibility, and contact the Fivetran support team with channel exports and capture logs.
Cause
This issue occurs when the HVR version does not support the Ingres CNF file version present after a database upgrade or failover. HVR expects a CNF file version that matches its implemented support. For example, we may expect 0x90001 but find 0x100001 after upgrading to Ingres 12.0.
