Error: F_JD22B1 Environment Variable 'ODBCINST' Has Not Been Set

Issue

While creating or testing a Teradata location in HVR, the operation fails with the following errors:

• F_JD22B1 Environment variable 'ODBCINST' has not been set for connection to 'testloc/new_loc'. This is required for teradata databases.
• F_JG0557 The previous error occurred during request [POST /latest/hubs/hvrhub/new_loc/test].

Source or target location: Teradata

Resolution

In the Teradata location's Advanced Settings, set the LINUX / UNIX ODBCINST field to the directory path where odbcinst.ini file is located. This is equivalent to the location property ODBC_Inst.

Cause

This issue occurs when the ODBCINST environment variable is not set. HVR needs this variable to locate the ODBC configuration for the Teradata database.
