Error: F_JD0274: Invocation of Routine HVR.HVRCAPLG Failed
Issue
Capture fails during replication with the following error:
F_JD0274: DBMS error [SQL0471N: Invocation of routine "HVR.HVRCAPLG" failed due to reason "00E79002"]
Environment
- HVR 6.3.0/4
- Location class: DB2 for z/OS
- DBMS version: 13.01.0002
Resolution
To troubleshoot this issue, work with your Db2 or mainframe team to complete the following steps:
- Ensure that the DB2 Workload Manager (WLM) application environment can access all required libraries. Missing or misconfigured libraries can cause failures before execution starts. For more information, see the IBM Reason Code 00E79002 documentation.
- Verify that the HVR database user has the required capture permissions, including
executeon the hvr.hvrcaplg stored procedure. For more information, see Grants for Capture. - Review the capture logs for earlier errors or additional details that may help identify the cause.
Cause
This issue occurs when your DB2 for z/OS environment lacks the configuration or permissions needed to execute the HVRCAPLG external routine.
