Fivetran Connector SDK

We have released the beta version of our Connector SDK.

Fivetran Connector SDK allows you to code a custom data connector using Python and deploy it as an extension of Fivetran. Fivetran automatically runs the connector at your scheduled frequency and manages the required compute resources. See our Connector SDK Quickstart Setup Guide to begin writing your connector.

`fivetran-connector-sdk` PyPI package

We have released version 0.11.21.1 of the fivetran-connector-sdk PyPI package. We now show the connector_id in the success message of the fivetran deploy command.

We have released version 0.11.14.1 of the fivetran-connector-sdk PyPI package. This release adds the following:

Support for Python version 3.12.
Adds a --force flag to fivetran deploy command which bypasses the connector exists check.

`fivetran-api-playground` PyPI package

We have released version 0.11.21.1 of the fivetran-api-playground PyPI package. This release adds changelog section to our PyPI package.

We have released version 0.11.14.1 of the fivetran-api-playground PyPI package. This release adds support for Python version 3.12.

Braintree

We have added two new columns, billing_period_start_date and billing_period_end_date, to the TRANSACTION table. We are gradually rolling out this change to all existing connections. Until the change is available for your connections, you may observe these columns as null in your destination table.
If you want to re-sync the table and backfill the historical data for these columns, contact our Support team.

Jira

We have added two new tables, FIELD_PROJECT and ISSUE_USER_VOTE.

The FIELD_PROJECT table is only available for Jira Cloud instances. You must grant Fivetran the Administer Jira global permission to fetch the custom fields project's mapping data.
To capture ISSUE_USER_VOTE data, you must set the Allow users to vote on issues option to ON in your Jira account's general configurations.

We are gradually rolling out these changes to all existing connections. Perform a re-sync to fetch the historical data of the new tables.

We have updated our sync strategy. We now re-import the INVOICE table once a week to capture updates and deletes.

We now re-import the TRANSACTION table once a day to capture updates and deletes. Previously, we only supported incremental syncs for this table.

MongoDB

Upgrade your MongoDB server to version 4.0 or later by March 1, 2025, to maintain compatibility with the latest MongoDB drivers. After that date, the drivers will no longer support earlier server versions. For details, see the MongoDB software lifecycle schedules documentation.

Navan

We now capture fixed-scale decimals for all the columns that contain financial data.

NetSuite SuiteAnalytics

The NetSuite SuiteAnalytics connector now supports the Hybrid Deployment model. For more information, see our setup instructions.

OneLake

We have introduced new fields in the setup form, Workspace GUID and Lakehouse GUID.

For new destinations, these fields now replace the existing Workspace Name and Lakehouse Name fields.

For existing destinations, the new GUID fields have been added alongside the current Workspace Name and Lakehouse Name fields. We will sunset the original fields in a future update. Ensure that you update the new GUID fields before this change.

PayPal

The PayPal connector now supports the Hybrid Deployment model. For more information, see our setup instructions.

PostgreSQL

We now support syncing the OID data type as LONG. See all supported data types in our PostgreSQL documentation.

PostgreSQL destination

All PostgreSQL implementations now support the Hybrid Deployment model. We are gradually rolling out this feature to all existing destinations. For more information, see the individual destination setup guides.

Recurly

The Recurly connector now supports the Hybrid Deployment model. For more information, see our setup instructions.

Salesforce

For roll-up summary fields that reference formula fields, we now round formula field values to their configured scale before calculating the roll-up summary result, aligning with Salesforce behavior.

This improvement applies to the following destinations:

BigQuery
Databricks
PostgreSQL
Redshift
Snowflake

For other destinations, we calculate the roll-up summary result without rounding.

We are gradually rolling out this change to all existing connections.

SAP Concur

We have added a new field, Historical Sync Limit, to the connection setup form. This allows you to select a date to limit the historical data sync to. The historical sync limit applies to all incremental tables. This change applies to all new and existing connections. For an existing connection, you can edit the connection details and select a date.

We have also added support for the historical_sync_limit field for connectors created using the Create a connection endpoint. For more information, see our REST API config.

Updating the value of the Historical Sync Limit may trigger a complete connection re-sync.

We are gradually rolling out this feature to all connections.

Sentry

The Sentry connector now supports the Hybrid Deployment model. For more information, see our setup instructions.

ServiceNow

We have added support for Okta authentication. We will be gradually rolling out this feature to existing connections.

SFTP

We have improved the connector setup experience and made the following changes to the connection setup form:

Added a new configuration option, Preview Files, to perform an intermediate test during configuration

Added a new field, Quote character, to use an enclosing character

We have made the following changes to the sync strategy:

We no longer re-import the CALENDAR_EVENT, PROJECT_BUDGET,TIME_TRACKING, and USERS tables and its child tables once a week.
We incrementally sync the ACTIVITY, CALENDAR_EVENT, TASK, and TIME_TRACKING tables based on the updated timestamp.

Transcend

Workday RaaS

If a primary key contains a null value in your reports, we display a warning on the connection dashboard and insert the record with a null value in your destination. If the destination does not support null values, we insert the row with the default value for the column instead.

We have improved the decimal precision of the currency_rate columns and now support up to 10 for decimal places in the following tables:

We have added a new field, Historical sync time frame, to the connection setup form. This allows you to select how many months' worth of historical data you want to sync.
