Capabilities for Salesforce

This section lists the Capabilities of HVR when using 'Salesforce'. For more information about the pre-requisites, access privileges, and other configuration requirements, see Requirements for Salesforce.

Capture

HVR supports the following capabilities on Salesforce:

• Capture changes from location.

HVR does not support the following capabilities on Salesforce:

• Log-based capture (capture from DBMS logging system).
• Trigger-based capture (action Capture /TriggerBased).

Hub Database

HVR does not support Hub Database on Salesforce.

Integrate

HVR supports the following capabilities on Salesforce:

• Integrate changes into location.
• Continuous integration (Integrate without /Burst).
• Continuous Integrate with /OnErrorSaveFailed (without /Burst).
• Action Transform /SoftDelete.

HVR does not support the following capabilities on Salesforce:

• Integrate with /Burst.
• Integrate with /BurstCommitFrequency.
• Action TableProperties with /DuplicateRows for continuous integration.
• Disable/enable database triggers during Integrate (/NoTriggerFiring).
• Creation and update of HVR state tables.
• Integrate with /DbProc.

Bi-directional Replication

HVR does not support Detection of changes made by HVR in a bidirectional channel to prevent loop-back on Salesforce.

Refresh and Compare

HVR supports the following capabilities on Salesforce:

• Hvrrefresh into target location.

HVR does not support the following capabilities on Salesforce:

• Hvrrefresh or Hvrcompare from source location.

Other Capabilities

HVR supports the following capabilities on Salesforce:

• International table and column names where DBMS is not configured with UTF-8 encoding.

HVR does not support the following capabilities on Salesforce:

• Use distribution key for parallelizing changes within a table (ColumnProperties /DistributionKey).
• Lossless binary float datatypes. No dataloss when transporting float values (because base 2 fractions are never converted to base 10).
