Why Can't I Log In From the Fivetran Login Page Using SSO?
Question
I've configured single sign-on (SSO) for my account. Why am I prompted to enter a password instead of using SSO when I enter my email on the Fivetran login page?
Environment
Fivetran login page
Answer
Multiple accounts
We trigger automatic SSO when your email is associated with a single Fivetran account. However, if your email address is associated with multiple Fivetran accounts, we prompt you to enter a username and password, even if SSO is enabled for all of them.
If your email is associated with multiple Fivetran accounts, you have two options:
- Log in with your email and password directly on the Fivetran login page.
- Access Fivetran through your SAML provider’s application catalog, where you can select the specific account you want to access.
For more information, see our Single Sign-On documentation.
Organization-level requirements
We may not trigger automatic SSO if your organization hasn't completed the necessary organization-level SAML setup. To ensure users can log in using SSO, your organization must ensure the following:
- A separate SAML application is configured for each Fivetran account, along with an additional one for the organization-level login.
- SCIM provisioning is enabled at the organization level to ensure users are added to the relevant Fivetran organization.
- Each user is assigned one of the following organization-level roles:
- Organization Administrator
- Organization Billing
- Organization Reviewer
