What Happens to Auto-Provisioned Users if I Disable SAML SSO?
Question
I want to disable SAML user provisioning and SAML SSO authentication and return to username and password login. What happens to users who were created through SAML auto-provisioning? How do they log in if they have never set a password?
Environment
- Account Settings
- Authentication type: SAML SSO
Answer
We do not delete existing user accounts when you disable SAML SSO. Users who were created through SAML auto-provisioning remain in the account.
Users who have never set a Fivetran password must select Forgot your password? on the Fivetran login page. Fivetran sends them a password reset link, which they can use to create a password and log in with username and password authentication. For more information, How Can I Change My Fivetran Password?
