Error: Validate Customer's Storage Credentials: No Value Present
Issue
While running setup tests for a Snowflake destination, the following error appears:
Validate customer's storage credentials: No value present
Other setup tests complete successfully.
Environment
- Destination: Snowflake
- Deployment model: Hybrid Deployment
Resolution
To resolve this issue, reload and reselect the default virtual warehouse again:
- In Fivetran, go to your Snowflake destination page.
- In the top right, select the more options menu.
- Click Edit connection.
- Click Load Virtual Warehouses.
- From the Default Virtual Warehouse drop-down menu, select your default virtual warehouse.
- Click Save & Test.
When the setup tests pass, wait for the affected connections' next scheduled sync or start a sync manually.
Cause
This issue occurs when your Snowflake destination configuration doesn't have a usable default virtual warehouse loaded and selected. The setup test may return this generic storage credentials error even when the destination uses a Snowflake internal stage and doesn't require customer-managed storage credentials.
