Error: Default Warehouse Test: User’s Configured Default Role Does Not Exist

Issue

Snowflake setup tests fail. The following error appears:

Default Warehouse Test: User's configured default role does not exist or not authorized. Contact your local system administrator, or attempt to login using a CLI client with a connect string selecting another.

Environment

Destination: Snowflake

Resolution

To resolve this issue, ensure the following conditions are all true:

• The Fivetran user has a Destination Administrator or Destination Creator user role. For more information, see our Role Permission Matrix Tables documentation.
• The role name is in upper case.
• The role name is not inside quotations. For more information, see our Snowflake prerequisites.
